Description:   Opened: 2007-02-21 00:04 0000
Been in the tree for several months. This new version uses eselect-vi, which
was recently marked stable by all of the listed arches. Using eselect-vi
removes the need to block app-editors/nvi, for example. The new vim version
includes various bug fixes and I haven't seen any notable regressions.
Requesting stabilization.

x86 stable

Marked ppc stable.

------- Comment #3 From .:deadhead:. 2007-02-21 07:34:11 0000 -------
emerge -up world

These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:

Calculating world dependencies -
!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been
!!! pulled into the dependency graph:

('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/vim-core-7.0.174', 'merge') pulled in by
  ('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/vim-7.0.174', 'merge')

('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/vim-core-7.0.17', 'nomerge') pulled in by
  ('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/gvim-7.0.17', 'nomerge')

It may be possible to solve this problem by using package.mask to
prevent one of those packages from being selected. However, it is also
possible that conflicting dependencies exist such that they are
impossible to satisfy simultaneously. If such a conflict exists in the
dependencies of two different packages, then those packages can not be
installed simultaneously.

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page
or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

... done!
[ebuild U ] app-misc/ca-certificates-20061027.2 [20050804] 92 kB
[nomerge ] app-vim/gentoo-syntax-20051221-r1 USE="-ignore-glep31"
[ebuild U ] app-editors/vim-7.0.174 [7.0.17] USE="bash-completion gpm nls

kB
[ebuild U ] app-editors/vim-core-7.0.174 [7.0.17] USE="bash-completion
nls -acl -livecd" 0 kB
[ebuild N ] app-admin/eselect-vi-1.1.4 2 kB

Total: 4 packages (3 upgrades, 1 new), Size of downloads: 353 kB

Could you take care of that situation?

!!! Depgraph creation failed.
