Been in the tree for several months. This new version uses eselect-vi, which was recently marked stable by all of the listed arches. Using eselect-vi removes the need to block app-editors/nvi, for example. The new vim version includes various bug fixes and I haven't seen any notable regressions. Requesting stabilization.
x86 stable
Marked ppc stable.
emerge -up world These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order: Calculating world dependencies - !!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been !!! pulled into the dependency graph: ('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/vim-core-7.0.174', 'merge') pulled in by ('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/vim-7.0.174', 'merge') ('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/vim-core-7.0.17', 'nomerge') pulled in by ('ebuild', '/', 'app-editors/gvim-7.0.17', 'nomerge') It may be possible to solve this problem by using package.mask to prevent one of those packages from being selected. However, it is also possible that conflicting dependencies exist such that they are impossible to satisfy simultaneously. If such a conflict exists in the dependencies of two different packages, then those packages can not be installed simultaneously. Adding back ppc and x86; not possible to stabilize just half of the shebang. :)
Stable for HPPA.
app-editors/{vim-core,vim,gvim}-7.0.174 stable on sparc. (Running fine since last November.)

readding x86 - christian you missing app-editors/gvim-7.0.174
(In reply to comment #11) > readding x86 - christian you missing app-editors/gvim-7.0.174 No, I did not! I just did a wrong ChangeLog entry.
