Same here. I have the exact same error as the original poster.
DEPEND on glib added to ebuild.
I just run into this bug again... The problem occurred with dev-libs/glib-1.2.10-r5 installed, the symptoms were exactly the same. After emerging dev-libs/glib-2.12.7 (SLOT=2) the problem is gone. Please reopen this bug, or add >=dev-libs/glib-2.12.7 or appropriate to the ebuild.
