I noticed in cedega, a program using 32-bit opengl, that opengl wasn't being found 32-bit. 64-bit gxlinfo and glxgears proved it worked in 64-bit, just not 32-bit. After some investigation I noticed that this new version was missing the following 32-bit dri: /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so Reverted back to 8.32.5 which handled it correctly and all is well, but why isn't the new version handling this correctly? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge ati-drivers-8.33.6 2. 3.
-RESTRICT="nostrip multilib-pkg-force stricter" +RESTRICT="nostrip test" Hmmm, where did the multilib-pkg-force thing go?
Sorry! I removed that RESTRICT because according to qa tools and grepping of the sys-apps/portage code (which is where RESTRICT is normally used) it did not actually exist. I missed the reference to it in multilib.eclass. I added it back in 8.33.6-r1, please test this and close this bug if it fixes it (I am not closing it myself because I cannot test on amd64).
x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.33.6-r1 works on amd64 with 2.6.20 gentoo -sources
8.33.6-r1 corrected the problem for me. wine now runs fine.
Marking as fixed then, thanks again for reporting.
