Description:   Opened: 2007-01-28 14:58 0000
As per summary, I've updated amarok not to build and install its own copy of
mongrel (plus rubygems and a few other things), and rather depend on
www-servers/mongrel now that is actually in the tree.

Please re-keyword amarok and its dependencies, thanks.

Diego

------- Comment #1 From Tomas Cohen Arazi 2007-01-29 21:44:57 0000 -------
www-servers/mongrel-1.0 pulls dev-ruby/fastthread-0.5.3.1 which actually fails
to build as does many ruby related packages (see [Bug 159922]:
sys-apps/coreutils-6.7-r1 has no /bin/install and breaks ruby extconf.rb).

I think is not safe using external mongrel as it will fail to install its
dependencies.

Perhaps it is not so bad to break things in ~x86 but this one doesn't look it
will have a proper solution soon. I'd add a USE flag for those who want to use
the external mongrel.

You were able to point out to a bug, could you care to read it too? Like, for
instance, read that re-emerging ruby is just what you need to do?

~sparc'd.

------- Comment #4 From Markus Rothe 2007-01-31 21:25:09 0000 -------
added ~ppc64

------- Comment #5 From Christian Marie (RETIRED) 2007-02-01 06:07:16 0000 -------
I was just bumping mongrel, it looks like you messed up corsair. I will remove
the ~ppc64 keyword, as amarok is the only rdep and it isn't keyworded ~ppc64.

------- Comment #6 From Markus Rothe 2007-02-01 06:59:30 0000 -------
thanks. fixed deps and added ~ppc64 back to mongrel

(I do now officially hate repoman... /me opens a bug for this behavior)

Wee, sound back on ppc

Reopening.

------- Comment #9 From Diego E. 'Flameeyes' Pettenò 2007-02-05 10:55:08 0000 -------
~ppc and ~sparc were re-added only to 1.4.4-r4 and not 1.4.5; please state if
you want to handle re-keywording of 1.4.5 yourself or if I can re-add your
keywords as the mongrel issue is fixed.

------- Comment #10 From Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) 2007-02-05 12:41:56 0000 -------
That's because you didn't check 1.4.4-r4 keywords before committing 1.4.5
Diego.
Please check your info (ChangeLog) before assuming someone else is at fault.
~sparc'ed again.

------- Comment #11 From Diego E. 'Flameeyes' Pettenò 2007-02-05 12:45:27 0000 -------
Ops, probably a collision while I was committing, and I didn't notice it.

------- Comment #12 From Luca Barbato 2007-02-05 13:44:02 0000 -------
mark as ~ppc please...

------- Comment #13 From Diego E. 'Flameeyes' Pettenò 2007-02-05 13:54:11 0000 -------
Done.
