Description:   Opened: 2007-01-23 21:00 0000
Dear arch-team-members. Please mark the mentioned package stable.
You might wonder about my request to mark -r5 stable while I just committed it
today. Well, it contains a tiny patch from Debian for a problem reported by a
user stating that evms won't start on kernel >=2.6.19. But I couldn't reproduce
it and the patch doesn't change much and isn't really kernel-related either.
Since kernel 2.6.19 is going stable, I would like to ask for -r5 being marked
stable. If you don't agree, please mark at least -r4 stable (which also
adresses a couple of potential problems for newer kernel versions).
Starting from 2.5.5-r4 a src_test() has been added to hopefully make it easier
for you to test, but you'll have to setup before. Please read the comments
written in the ebuild or wait until they get displayed :-)

Thanks in advance!

sys-fs/evms-2.5.5-r5 USE="gtk ncurses nls -debug"
1. emerges on x86
2. fails 27, I think this is caused that I don't have all the needed kernel
options enabled, like
# Multi-device support (RAID and LVM)
#
# CONFIG_MD is not set

Maybe someone using this stuff should test this package...

3. passes collision test
4. evmsgui seems to work
