Description Claes 2007-01-20 16:40:52 UTC
Installing openttd works well, but running openttd gives the start sound for about 0.5 secs, then it quits.
openttd -d1 shows (among other things)
dbg: Probing video driver "sdl" failed with error: No available video device

emerging libsdl with the X flag solves this.
Wesnoth won't compile without the same flag. I get:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge libsdl with X flag
2. attempt emerge wesnoth
3. emerge openttd and try to start it.

Actual Results:
Wesnoth doesn't compile.
Openttd quits after around 0.5 seconds.

Expected Results:
Wesnoth should compile.
OpenTTD should display graphics.

openttd and wesnoth should depend on having compiled libsdl with X flag.

It should ofc be emerge libsdl withOUT X flag
Comment 2 Miika Linnapuomi 2007-01-30 11:42:48 UTC
wesnoth also fails when emerging with USE="-* dedicated server" on boxes that haven't got freetype2 installed. None of the binaries are linked against it, but couldn't find a configure option to disable the check for freetype...

wesnoth should be fine so I changed the summary.

Fixed in openttd-0.5.0
