Freecol-0.5.3-r1 was committed straight to stable x86. However, it does not compile on stable x86. It needs either the unstated dep dev-java/jsr173 or a 1.6 jdk to build. The latter is ~arch. Furthermore, there is no ebuild in portage to replace the bundled wstx-lgpl-3.0.2.jar as far as I can tell. Note also that the stable version of jsr173 and a few of its deps are java generation 1 ebuilds. I'll leave it up to you guys if you want to go for jdk-1.6 or jsr173. I have patches for building with jsr173 if you want but the ebuild would need some further tweaking to handle both cases.
