well, that is,
app-admin/eselect-1.0.7  USE="-bash-completion -doc" ;-)

------- Comment #4 From Matthias Langer 2007-01-07 04:56:35 0000 -------
well, there is at least a minor problem: the latest stable version of
app-admin/eselect-opengl is 1.0.3 (an all arches except for x86 fbsd) and the
ebuild for it contains:

RDEPEND=">=app-admin/eselect-1.0_rc1
<app-admin/eselect-1.0.3"

thus, i think it should be considered to either stable a newer version of this
module (and possibly other modules) or change the ebuild (at least "eselect
opengl show" and "eselect opengl list" works for me with an combination of
eselect-1.0.7 and eselect-opengl-1.0.3).

------- Comment #5 From Torsten Veller 2007-01-07 10:38:54 0000 -------
Well spotted, Matthias!
So which version of app-admin/eselect-opengl should be stabilized? I guess
1.0.5 should be fine.

eselect-1.0.7.ebuild prints:

 * Modules cblas.eselect, blas.eselect and lapack.eselect have
 * been split-out to separate packages called:
 *
 *   app-admin/eselect-cblas
 *   app-admin/eselect-blas
 *   app-admin/eselect-lapack

so we should offer them too, shouldn't we? These are currently only in testing.

So we should probably stabilize:
=app-admin/eselect-opengl-1.0.5
=app-admin/eselect-cblas-0.1
=app-admin/eselect-blas-0.1
=app-admin/eselect-lapack-0.1

Adding amd64 back to CC; this really can't be done without stabilizing newer
eselect-opengl and others.

------- Comment #8 From Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) 2007-01-08 13:02:14 0000 -------
Oh but eselect-blas/cblas/lapack is only used on newer ~arch versions of
sci-libs/blas and so on, so there really is no need for them to go stable until
those do. It would probably confuse people if we do.

------- Comment #9 From Mike Kelly (RETIRED) 2007-01-08 17:38:48 0000 -------
It looks like the route that sparc has chosen is to stable eselect-opengl-1.0.5
and eselect-1.0.7, but not -cblas, -blas, or -lapack. Would this be acceptable
to others as well?

------- Comment #10 From Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) 2007-01-08 18:31:07 0000 -------
I think we're done with that. Feel free to call us back if the sci stuff goes
stable, otherwise it's just eselect modules not required by anything stable.
And are they supposed to work on current stable stuff anyway or will they just
break things?

This ebuild is broken with parallel make (MAKEOPTS=-j4).

Reproducible on two (though similar) machines here, most of the time.
Builds with MAKEOPTS=-j1 100% of the time (3 attempts).

During the install phase usually borks:

See Bug #162008. I've "fixed" this for now by forcing -j1 for the emake
install. I thought I had fixed some of these issues before, but I'll try to be
sure they are totally fixed in a future release.
