Perhaps you should reconsider the marking of net-analyzer/rrdtool-1.2.15-r2 as
stable, there is a serious bug that makes rrdtool eat all ram see:

I have been bitten by this, everytime you try to graph using the -l
(logarithmic) you end up swapping until you kill rrdtool or it kills you.

There are fixes in the thread for this bug, and they are isolated from the
other fixes/features.
