euses 2.5.4 has been in the tree for a month with no notable changes (other
than removing some deps that were already provided by the autotools eclass). No
open bug reports remain. Please test and consider app-portage/euses-2.5.4 for
stabilisation for your arch.

on x86:

app-portage/euses-2.5.4 seems to work fine for me (and is much faster than
2.4.3).
however, when merging i got this message:

Must be a bug in some eclass, because the euses ebuilds do not use automake.
