Description:   Opened: 2007-01-03 07:05 0000
openoffice-2.0.4 should be ready for marking the ebuild stable. In contrast to
2.0.3 it adds a bunch of new dependencies (as we are continuing to use more an
more of the libraries on the system instead of building our own versions in
OOo, as we did until recently), but all of them should already have sufficient
versions in stable. (if I didn't overlook anything).

Generally 2.0.4 should be quite stable now, as this release has seen a fair
share of bugfixes - through ooo-build - over the last weeks.

on x86:
1: emerges ok
2: passes collision test
3: works fine

That package takes rediculous amounts of time to compile! Even with a core duo
it took like 4 hours.

We should go ahead with this fast, as we need i to fix a severe security bug in
older OOo-versions, see bug #159951.

i would like to request the java 6 compatibility with openoffice.
at the moment it's fixed to:

|| ( =virtual/jre-1.5* =virtual/jre-1.4* )

please add 1.6 too.

Did you actually test, that this works? AFAIK it won't build with 1.6, so the
dep is correct. Also this is hardly a relevant topic for stabilization atm.

ok i'll waith 2.1.0 and open another bug for java matter

I'm getting a collision-protect problem with dict symlinks in
/usr/lib/openoffice eg  /usr/lib/openoffice/share/dict/ooo/en_CA.dic as the
symlinks from the previous openoffice-bin-2.0.3 haven't been cleaned out.

package app-office/openoffice-2.0.4 NOT merged

No package files given... Grabbing a set.

When I did FEATURES="-collision-protect" ebuild
/usr/portage/app-office/openoffice/openoffice-2.0.4.ebuild install
..it started to redo the whole pkg, I think?:
 * OOO_2_0_4-sdk_oo.tar.bz2 MD5 ;-) ...            [ ok ]
 * OOO_2_0_4-sdk_oo.tar.bz2 RMD160 ;-) ...         [ ok ]

 * OOO_2_0_4-sdk_oo.tar.bz2 size ;-) ...           [ ok ]
-so I stopped it there. I deleted the old .installed file, but it does the same
thing. I want to just copy the files into the / fs, but obviously this won't be
right for portage cache. Help!

ppc is stable too, amd64 doesn't have to, so closing this
