I have modified the ebuild for gnome-utils-2.16.2 with a patch from the gnome
bug in the URL. - bug ID 161525 on gnome's bugzilla.

I have tested the patch and verified it as working.

As soon as I can figure out how to attach the patch and ebuild I will do so...
