Description:   Opened: 2006-12-19 04:05 0000
omnibook won't compile against kernel version 2.6.19 and up due to the fact
that linux/config.h no longer exists. From what I can determine one should now
include linux/autoconf.h

------- Comment #1 From Jaco Kroon 2006-12-19 04:10:13 0000 -------
Created an attachment (id=104351) [details]
omnibook-2.6.19.patch

Additionally one needs to add the following unpack section. This should be ok
on older kernels as well, from 2.6.17 at least linux/conf.h has simply included
linux/autoconf.h anyway.

src_unpack() {
        unpack ${A}
        epatch "${FILESDIR}/omnibook-2.6.19.patch"
}

------- Comment #2 From Daniel Drake 2006-12-19 16:03:54 0000 -------
Please rework the patch to do something like:

#include <linux/version.h>
#if LINUX_VERSION_CODE <= KERNEL_VERSION(2,6,18)
#include <linux/config.h>
#endif

Michele, please fix in stable tree ASAP

------- Comment #3 From Michele Noberasco 2006-12-20 01:34:44 0000 -------
Fixed (as new package revision). Since I don't have a 2.6.19 to test it on,
yet, could someone test it for me? Otherwise I should be able to do it myself
in a couple of days...

------- Comment #4 From Jaco Kroon 2006-12-20 02:32:57 0000 -------
Yes, that suggested fix would indeed be better, the autoconf is included using
-i on newer versions.

I don't see the updated ebuild in portage yet, so I'll try again later.

------- Comment #5 From Jaco Kroon 2006-12-20 05:10:28 0000 -------
Works correctly, other than the sandbox errors I'm getting, but those occur
with ati-drivers as well so I doubt it's related.

I'm leaving this open, please close when it gets bumped to stable.

app-laptop/omnibook-20060817-r1
