Description:   Opened: 2006-12-16 19:51 0000
My last world update upgraded ppp from 2.4.3-r16 to 2.4.4-r4. After that, my
ISDN setup was broken:

/usr/sbin/pppd: /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.4/capiplugin.so: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/pppd: Couldn't load plugin capiplugin.so

capiplugin.so is built by capi4k-utils, when the pppd use flag is set.
20050718-r1 does not have plugins for pppd 2.4.4. 20050718-r2 does, but has to
be unmasked.

I'm not sure whose fault this is - my own, ppp's oder capi4k-utils', but I
think this should be taken care of somehow.

same resolution as bug 147092 or bug #158118 : CANTFIX.

Workaround: rebuild the package that installs the foobar pppd plugin.
Replace "foobar" with whatever external plugin are you interested in.

Lets keep the stuff in one bug... :)

Reopen, rebuilding the stable version won't help much...

Stefan (Briesenick), can -r2 be stabilized?
If so, please bug the arch teams.

------- Comment #7 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-12-17 14:32:02 0000 -------
oh yes, -r2 should be stable now. We had no bug-reports for it. And basically
it's just -r1 + ppp 2.4.4 support. ;-)

------- Comment #8 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-12-17 14:35:57 0000 -------
@arch's: please stablize it if it compiles fine.

you don't need any ISDN hardware, please just test if everything else is fine.
Thanks!

------- Comment #9 From Christian Faulhammer 2006-12-18 01:05:37 0000 -------
Done on x86

amd64 stable

------- Comment #11 From Joe Jezak 2007-04-07 18:15:37 0000 -------
-r3 is already marked ppc stable, thanks Chris. Closing since we're the last
arch.
