Parted-1.8.0 was released ten days ago.  Just bumping the 1.7.1 ebuild (and
dropping the two patches; they have been applied), it works fine here.

parted-1.8.1.ebuild.patch

adds device-mapper (compiles ok) and selinux support (untested)

Parted-1.8.2 was released on 2007-01-13.  Bumping the 1.8.0 ebuild further
seems to work fine here.

It still crashes when running GParted from livecd. The last GParted realese
(beta atm) is based on gentoo-catalyst. If i built it with parted 1.7.1 it
works, but using parted1.8.2 it crashes, even with the patch i downloaded.
HOw may i give needed info ?
I may upload the beta iso of my livecd (50mo) so that someone can see how it
goes ?

At comment #5: open a new bug.  Crashes don't have anything to do with a
version bump request.
