Description Pete Walters 2003-02-12 12:07:00 UTC
Emerging net-fs/openafs-1.2.8 fails when creating the directory /afs if openafs
is running during the emerge. This is a problem if the portage tree is located
in afs, and is required to be running for the emerge.

There is a provisional fix to this bug in the 1.2.9a ebuild I attached to Bug 26010. It skips the "keepdir /afs" if an AFS filesystem is already mounted there. There is a minor race condition that shouldn't be a problem for normal emerge: if /afs is unmounted during the install phase, but mounted before the qmerge phase, qmerge will fail.

openafs-1.2.10 works fine. Please consider tagging it as stable.
