Its in the middle of this...I got as much as I could.  Hunted around the gentoo
and gnome forums, and coming up empty for a solution.

this will emerge with just ~sparc, x86 or ~x86 isn't necessary.

Please note that bug 15599 (the dup one) contains a fix for this bug.

Just added a patch for sparc to resolve this issue.  Please test and let me
know your results (works for me).

I've been using it with the patch I'd posted and have been working since.
