SCIM version 1.4.4, compiled with gcc 4.1.1 and glibc 2.4 breaks some (not all)
GTK-2 applications.

Broken applications so far
evince 0.6.0
easytag 1.99.12

Major application not affected so far:
Mozilla Firefox 2.0
Gaim CVS
Evolution 2.6.2

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use gcc 4.x, glibc 2.4.x to compile SCIM 1.4.4
2. Run one of the application listed above

Outcome:
Application failed to load, resulting in segmentation fault or freeze before
the GUI loads. GDB backtrace shows a problem with a destructor called in SCIM
config initialization.

The compiler and/or glibc version seems to be related to the problem.

SCIM 1.4.5 (still ~x86) fixed the problem.
