The package media-video/qdvdauthor-0.1.2-r1 is a fine application for authoring
DVDs, but the ebuild for it is missing some dependencies.  Qdvdauthor needs a
bundle of scripts known as transvideo in order to run properly.  Unfortunately,
there is no ebuild for Transvideo currently, which means this dependency has to
be manually downloaded, configured, and installed in order to work.  In turn,
transvideo requires a commandline calculator called bc in order to work
properly.

It seems that the best resolution would be to create an ebuild for transvideo
and add it as a dependency of the qdvdauthor ebuild.

ok, media-video/videotrans-1.5.2 is in Portage now. But it has to be keyworded
first for at least the same archs media-video/qdvdauthor has (that is: x86,
amd64 and ppc). Then I can add it as a dependency.
