I am not certain if this is a bug with the nx package, but I do not seem to see a answer for why it cannot gain the proper PATH on login.
Comment 1 Kevin Carlson 2006-11-10 07:52:21 UTC
Workaround is to add to line 2 of /usr/bin/nxnode and /usr/bin/nxserver:

PATH="${PATH}:/usr/bin:/bin:"

Hi,

I can't reproduce this locally at all. I'll have a think, and see what we can do to get to the bottom of this problem.

Best regards,
Stu

Changing bug state.
Comment 4 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2007-05-28 15:53:36 UTC
You most probably alread add a nx user before installing the server for the first time, check the ~nx folder has all the skel files and/or remove it completely before trying again.

If that does not work, feel free to reopen the bug ;)
