Description Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-09 06:40:01 UTC
There has been plenty of warning and this is now overdue, please mark 2.6.18 stable if it works on your arch (otherwise link me to the bugs which say otherwise). Tested extensively on x86 and amd64 here.

There are a couple of outstanding stable request bugs you need to ensure your arch has fixed before you mark the kernel stable:

bug #138025
bug #151567 (yes, this is for 2.6.17 compatibility, but the ebuild will soon be modified to bail out on 2.6.18: openafs users are expected to use testing tree for now)
Comment 1 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-09 07:02:57 UTC
also bug #153260
Comment 2 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-09 09:17:03 UTC
In x86:

Works and compiles nice.

I've marked -r3 stable on ppc since it contains a ppc crash fix.

closing this, you can fix it when convenient (doesn't look like it will happen any time soon!)
