tightvnc 1.2.8 is out im going to be testing tonight/tomorrow so not sure if any problems will get back after have tried it Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
been using it for a few days now seems to be fine i just copied over the ebuild
aliz, you already did upgrade this, right?
about this, I think it would be worth to add a couple changes: 1) update the README.JavaViewer file to the 1.2.8 version. Here's the file: http://www.tightvnc.com/doc/java/README.txt IMO, better rename it as "${P}-README.JavaViewer" and fetch it from mirror://gentoo/ 2) net-misc/vnc provides the same stuff. If already merged, tightvnc will overwrite almost all the net-misc/vnc files. Solution: add !net-misc/vnc to RDEPEND in the tightvnc ebuild and update the net-misc/vnc ebuild accordingly. those changes are incorporated in my tightvnc ebuild at http://web.losingtime.net/gentoo/working/tightvnc it also includes other changes/script, but (IMO) they are not that important as the above two points, therefore they can wait. geep root # emerge -up world These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating world dependencies \ !!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=virtual/jdk-1.3.1-r7" have been masked. !!! (dependency required by "net-misc/tightvnc-1.2.8" [ebuild]) Freshly rsync'd.
Commited.
