Description Jean-Michel Smith 2003-02-03 14:29:41 UTC
omniORB ebuilds fail to find /usr/bin/gcc and /usr/bin/g++, aborting the ebuild.
This behavior surfaced in 1.4-rc2 and possibly a little earlier, when gcc was
changed to support multiple versions of gcc.

I worked around it by creating the symlinks by hand, but presumably gcc-config
should create those links (it didn't appear to do so), or the ebuild/config
scripts need to be rewritten in some fashion.

are you using gcc-config 1.3.1?
Comment 2 Jean-Michel Smith 2003-02-04 13:51:34 UTC
negative. gcc-config 1.2.7 appears to be the most current unmasked version.

However, I just unmasked gcc-config 1.3.1, ran it, and the ebuild works perfectly. So unmasking gcc-config 1.3.1 will fix this bug.

thanks! --Jean.

i'm closing this one for raker because gcc-config-1.3.1 is stable.
