fixed in cvs.
I also removed --enable-truncate because:
 a) it fails to compile
 b) author says the perfomance difference is marginal and it may lead into problems (see http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=squid-users&m=115168297518054&w=2)

WARNING: The transparent mode doesn't allow you to set vhost or vport, but it works as expected.
