Description Beuss 2006-10-04 03:43:40 UTC
I just installed net-analyzer/munin-1.3.2-r1 and it isn't producing any graphes... cron job was setted properly with emerge --config, A web page is generated but there is no graph on it

telnet 127.0.0.1 4949 works fine and shows :
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to 127.0.0.1.
Escape character is '^]'.
# munin node at sherlock.localdomain

but if i send a command (e.g. list) it does nothing and ends with Connection closed by foreign host.

Comment 1 Beuss 2006-10-04 08:15:09 UTC
Solved, there was no symbolic links in /etc/munin/plugins
Why doesn't the ebuild show a message like 'run munin-node-configure' or something like that ?
Comment 2 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2006-10-04 13:16:27 UTC
added comment to that affect, but I would really expect users to actually consult documentation before using a package like munin.
