Description Samuel Owens 2006-10-02 11:36:39 UTC
When emerging kde-meta, it gets to krdc, then dies. I reran emerge -av kde-meta a couple times, & it would go to other packages, but it always comes back to this one. Error message is below. emerge --info output is below that.
Thank you in advance.

Comment 1 Samuel Owens 2006-10-02 12:06:05 UTC
ok, little update
With some help from some, leeter-than-I friends :P, I discovered that the package x11-libs/libXxf86vm is apparently a dependency, yet was not installed yet.

homebox kde # emerge --search xf86vm

I emerged that package, & now krdc emerged perfectly, & the installation is purring along. I guess this resolves this issue, though I'm guessing the ebuild needs updating to include that package.
Comment 2 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-02 12:18:36 UTC
This is not fixed, we'll close it after fixing the ebuild.
Comment 3 Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-06 06:56:39 UTC
Dependencies seem ok at this side, however you seem to be mising the 'X' USE flag.

Could you please attach `emerge -uDNpvt kde-base/krdc`?

Thanks, fixed now.
