Comment 1 tla 2006-09-19 02:42:11 UTC
Specifying an emty string as an argument to the iptables --log-prefix option causes a segmentation fault:

FAILS:

# /sbin/iptables --append LOGDROP --protocol tcp --jump LOG --log-level debug --log-prefix=""
Segmentation fault
#

WORKS:

# /sbin/iptables --append LOGDROP --protocol tcp --jump LOG --log-level debug --log-prefix "aaa"
#

Workaround:

Don't specify a null string as an argument to --log-prefix!
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2006-09-22 22:18:19 UTC
fixed in cvs with no revbump because this is such a silly bug :p
