------- Comment #1 From Josh Glover 2006-10-13 23:11:28 0000 -------
I was able to work around this by first emerging the deps, then finally
emerging ghostscript-gpl itself:

: jmglov@foo; USE='-doc' emerge -av nasm lzo gnutls
: jmglov@foo; USE='gnutls gtk jpeg2k opengl X' emerge -av cups
: jmglov@foo; USE='gnutls gtk jpeg2k opengl X' emerge -av ghostscript-gpl

Thanks that worked for me too.

(I was trying to emerge kdebase. I'm curious: kde and ghsostcript are hardly
obscure packages so I wonder how this bug hasn't got picked up before.)

------- Comment #3 From hollywoodb 2006-11-19 07:17:25 0000 -------
I can confirm this bug as well, ran into this exact issue on a fresh 2006.1
install. Comment #1 worked as a fix in my case as well (without using USE on
CLI as demonstrated in Comment #1)

Another simple workaround is to use MAKEOPTS="-j1".

------- Comment #5 From Stefan Schweizer 2006-12-12 15:36:28 0000 -------
I changed the ebuild to use -j1
