Looks like you don't have app-text/aspell which Text-Aspell DEPENDs on. Could you try emerging it and let us know if it works?

I had a look at the testsuites of 0.04, 0.05 and 0.06 and all of them fail at least on the initial test on installations where LC is set to something different than 'en_US'. Unless we want to do some use-test depend voodoo like DEP='test? ( app-dicts/aspell-$MY_LC )' the testsuites all need patching. Next problem: The testsuites all differ majorly and fail on other tests too. The testsuite of 0.06 looks promising but it seems like cmp_ok is used in a wrong context there. I suggest disabling tests for now as we've got no sensible way to ensure that the tests work.
