I think that NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-<version>-pkg0.run will be more appropriate than other pkg, because of absence of precompiled kernel modules in pkg0. Cite README: The 'pkg#' suffix is used to distinguish between '.run' files containing the same driver, but different sets of precompiled kernel interfaces. The size of pkg0 is 6-7 Mb, and pkg1 about 12 Mb. Feel the difference :)
I also agree that pkg0 is just enough, I'vetested pkg1 and pkg0 and there is no difference except of size :)
Fixed in the tree now... thanks
Please revert this change for the amd64 package. The package is smaller, yes. But it also lacks the 32bit libraries. Doom3-demo will no longer work, wine will no longer be able to find suitable opengl libraries and whatnot else. You notice that when emerging the nvidia-driver. The install process will complain about something like: "cannot stat /usr/lib32/opengl/ ... " It took me hours to find that error.
