2.3.0b-r2 stabilized on amd64.
Comment 3 Chris White (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-25 11:12:42 UTC
Character exclusion is broken (amd64 and ppc):

-E char_string exclude characters from password generation process

@chriswhite: it doesn't work with -r1 either.
Comment 6 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2006-10-25 12:36:06 UTC
1. emerges on x86
2. passes collision test
3. works

x86 stable ^.^
Comment 8 Andrea Forghieri 2006-10-31 02:16:00 UTC
If you run apg the first time, it runs normally fast.
If you run it again soon, it takes up to 2 minutes.
Please look at the following output obtained with "time"

*** first run ***

# time apg -m 8 - x 8 -t

IvdivCeo (Iv-div-Ceo)
CridEsya (Crid-Es-ya)
Flojyimt (Floj-yimt)
yoghZuts (yogh-Zuts)
ViawtUk} (Vi-awt-Uk-RIGHT_BRACE)
Velwarj. (Vel-warj-PERIOD)

real	0m0.002s
user	0m0.000s
sys	0m0.000s

*** second run ***

# time apg -m 8 - x 8 -t
fercUnIl (ferc-Un-Il)
Koyftic3 (Koyft-ic-THREE)
Mujothju (Muj-oth-ju)
miasIgty (mias-Ig-ty)
eapNalsh (eap-Nalsh)
IbUcWirg (Ib-Uc-Wirg)

real	1m22.222s
user	0m0.000s
sys	0m0.000s

As you can see the second run is few some orders of magnitute slower.

Thank you in advance for your attention

Andrea Forghieri
