The description of the "doc" use flag is as follows: global use flags (searching: doc) ************************************************************ [- ] doc - Adds extra documentation (API, Javadoc, etc) When I upgraded to the latest version of dovecot (1.0_rc7), I was surprised when I found that no documentation at all is installed if the "doc" use flag is not active. Is there a reason that "doc" for this package controls whether any documentation is installed?
(In reply to comment #0) > Is there a reason that "doc" for this package controls whether any > documentation is installed? I couldn't decide what documentation should be included/excluded by the flag so I made it handle all of it. What documentation (specific files please) would you always expect to be installed?
In this case, since the package doesn't have an API or seem to have any separate documentation that only developers would be intrested in, I don't feel that it is necessary to use the doc use flag. All of the documentation should be installed as it was in 1.0_beta8.
You would say that doc/{auth-protocol,index,multiaccess,securecoding}.txt are end user documentation then? I'll allow those to be installed by the doc use flag, but let the others through
