audacity-1.3.0b has been in the tree for a while now.
Unlike earlier versions it builds succesfully against wxGTK-2.6, which has seen
much more bug fixes than wxGTK-2.4*.
Upstream seems to also be unsatisfied by what the latest stable in portage is
(http://audacityteam.org/forum/thread/1923), even though subsequent releases
are marked as beta, or have broken x86 assembly - 1.3.0b seems to be the
working version then.

Please consider stabilization of 1.3.0b or any newer version if necessary, so
that wxGTK-2.4.* can one day be phased out of the tree.

Can it also be marked stable on PPC, since I've been using it for awhile, with
no issues?
