Description:   Opened: 2006-08-19 12:20 0000
app-editors/vim-core-7.0.17 and app-editors/vim-7.0.17 are marked as stable in
some archs (alpha, amd64, ia64, ppc64). However, app-editors/gvim-7.0.17 is
marked stable only in ppc64. When doing emerge -uDNv world with vim-core-6.4
installed, it emerges vim-core-7.0.17, because vim-7.0.17 depends on it. But
then gvim doesn't work, because it depends on vim-core-6.4. If I do emerge
-uDNv world again, vim-core is downgraded to 6.4, because gvim-6.4 depends on
it. After that, gvim works, but vim doesn't, because it depends on
vim-core-7.0.17.

I'm using amd64, but I think that the same happens in the rest of archs where
vim-core-7.0.17 is stable but gvim-7.0.17 isn't.

Please stabilize gvim-7.0.17 on these archs. This bug is marked with major
severity because vim is an essential app in every *nix environment.

Please forgive me for my english, is not my native language.
