mesa-3.4.2 misses files in the demo directory: geartrain.dat and isosurf.dat. Also the whole direcotry images is missing too. I'm attaching the ebuild patch to install the files. Note: mesa-glu might nedd to be updated as well. Q: Why there's mesa-glu-3.5, but there's no mesa-3.5, is there a problem with it?

I think it's because many of us use the Mesa included with xfree86, so it's not maintained much. However, I don't think xfree86 includes libglu anymore, so it's better maintained (since more of us use it)
I "fixed" this bug by removing the demos entirely. They seem linked in such a way as to only really be intended for testing at build-time.
