current stable app-accessibility/brltty-3.6.1-r1 fails to build with GCC 4.1
(bug #..). if possible, please stabilize >=app-accessibility/brltty-3.7.2 so we
can work on getting GCC 4.1 into stable.

Bug #142934 will have to be resolved to stable this.

------- Comment #1 From Ryan Hill 2006-08-27 19:34:16 0000 -------
Any progress on this? We need this ASAP for bug #140707. If no response is
made before Sept 1st we'll be taking it upon ourselves to CC archs and get this
bug resolved.

thanks :)

------- Comment #2 From William Hubbs 2006-08-27 22:48:08 0000 -------
Bug 142934 has to be resolved first; I am waiting for an answer there. Could
you take a look at this and point me in the right direction?

Thanks, :-)

------- Comment #3 From Ryan Hill 2006-08-28 00:00:53 0000 -------
oops. that's right, i knew you were working on this. didn't mean to pressure
you. ;D

i did have a look but got busy with other stuff. i think it should be possible
to remove the rpath stuff from the Makefiles, but you'd have to see if it
breaks anything in the process. wish i knew more about it. =/

------- Comment #4 From Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) 2006-08-28 09:57:54 0000 -------
The QA problems really shouldn't preclude this version going stable. They're
just warnings that should be fixed, but normally wouldn't block a stable
marking.

------- Comment #5 From Michael Weyershäuser 2006-08-29 02:43:35 0000 -------
emerges fine on amd64, however I can't test functionality due to lacking
hardware...

------- Comment #6 From Jakub Moc (RETIRED) 2006-09-02 06:11:14 0000 -------
Please, do it. The prestripped binaries can be fixed by a trivial sed without
any version bump, and the runpath issue is a QA warning automagically fixed by
portage anyway; needs to be solved separately instead of leaving stable tree
broken.

------- Comment #7 From William Hubbs 2006-09-24 11:59:05 0000 -------
Please test and mark stable.

I have permission to mark this stable on x86, so I am doing so when I finish
this comment.

Thanks much.
