xmlrpc-c >1.05 is using its own static expat library by default. To disable it one would have to use --enable-libxml2-backend . Worst idea ever! </comic book guy> This should imnsho (two days wasted makes you not so humble) be default configure flag for the ebuild since it depend on libxml2 anyway. Latest version is also 1.06.02 btw
the libxml2 backend was broken in 1.05 i forgot to remove the dependency, 1.06 however fixed the libxml2 backend, i have bumped the ebuild and added the configure switch, thanks!
