Description Colin Carle 2006-07-18 09:00:39 UTC
hi,
according to the changelog of rt2500 beta 4 and this thread :
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1472869&group_id=107832&atid=648844

the issue of rt2500 with suspend have been fixed. So the module no longer need to be in the blacklist /etc/hibernate/blacklisted-modules.

excuse me again. Since the rt2500 bug is not patched in the beta 3, Shouldn't the hitbernate-script ebuild test for the presence of beta 4 before patching the blacklist? This way if you don't emerge rt2500 with ~x86, it won't crash. But maybe since the patch in only for the ~x86 version of hibernate-script, this test can be skipped. I just wanted to know :)

Well problem is, I would have to rely upon the DEPEND/RDEPEND of the pkg. So that means I'm need to introduce a new USE-flag for the rt2500 stuff (to pull in the driver as dependency).

No idea if its worth it, but as you said, as long as hibernate-script won't go into stable I don't see an issue.
