After I upgraded to sdl-mixer-1.2.7, powermanga didn't work any more, but outputs the following error: ! sdl_mixer.cpp/seal_chargeModule() erreur Unrecognized music format It works again after downgrading back to sdl-mixer-1.2.6-r1. I tried also re-emerging powermanga, but that didn't help.
Reopen with your emerge --info and the output from "emerge -evp powermanga".

Created an attachment (id=91606) [edit] sdl-mixer-1.2.7.ebuild Proposed fix. --disable-music-mod was added to 1.2.6-r1 as a workaround for bug #112116
Affects games-puzzle/monsterz-0.7.0 as well. Error message: /usr/games/bin/monsterz: could not open data from `/usr/share/games/monsterz'. Looking at the changes to sdl-mixer-1.2.6-r1.ebuild from CVS revision 1.4 to 1.5, I also removed --disable-dependency-tracking and set --enable-music-mod. Accidentially I also removed the music-libmikmod setting, but at least now it seems to work.

I have this problem with games-arcade/frozen-bubble and games-arcade/supertux as well. Downgrading to sdl-mixer-1.2.6-r1 did solve it.
I'm also having sound issues with sdl-mixer-1.2.7 and tuxracer-0.61-r3. I added a patch to portage that should fix this. please remerge sdl-mixer and report back.
