Current stable version is not modular X ready and installs to ${D}/${D} :( While at it, someone please fix the hardcoded SRC_URI and change virtual/x11 to <virtual/x11-7 wrt Bug 133671.

As noted in that bug, it's a workaround, and it's working around a problem dnd doesn't have (as it's not a dep of x11), so is it really necessary? It's changed already, and there's no benefit in changing it back, but I'm asking for other ebuilds.

Well, technically the depend is wrong, once that virtual gets installed, you'll break many other ebuilds because they'll ignore the real modular deps. So, pointing it to non-modular version avoids this and helps to uncover keywording mess as well (changing this in KDE ebuilds already helped to find a bunch of missing ppc keywords in modular stuff). Related -dev ml thread: http://tinyurl.com/jcp6r Well of course the alternative is to yank non-modular X completely. :)
