mplayer-bin exposes an issues with app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.3.
Please stabilize app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.8.8, issue seems fixed.

with app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.3:

libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 => not found

Agreed.  In general, emul-linux-x86-gtklibs should be on at least the same
minor rev as stable gtk+.

gtklibs-2.8.8 is apparently marked stable, while it has deps that are still
marked ~amd64, namely emul-linux-x86-qtlibs (~amd64) and emul-linux-x86-xlibs
(~amd64)
