Will take care.
Comment 2 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-22 05:45:48 UTC
Thanks for reporting, now both kdebase and kdebase-kioslaves checks for qt3 useflag in dbus before starting building.

Comment 4 Eric Thibodeau 2006-12-20 06:11:20 UTC
Shouldn't it be the other way around. By this I mean that shouldn't DBUS check to see if the KDE flag is set and force qt3 compilation or provide a better mechanism than the present "kioslave emerge dies because dbus isn't compiled with qt3". Not to rant but it's rather annoying to rebuild a system with +900 packages for it to die midway because dbus wasn't compiled with qt3 _and_ you wnt to use it with kde.

I know the solution might not be to simply imply qt3 in dbus if the kde USE flag is set but I find it much better than the alternative breakage.

(PS: I tried to find a discussion on this topic with no success, so _do_ throw me in the proper direction)
Comment 5 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-20 06:19:46 UTC
This will be fixed when dbus 1.0.x is marked stable, as the bindings have their own packaging.
