Description:   Opened: 2003-01-11 19:13 0000 
It is suggested that the ebuild be modified to strip the -fPIC flags for this
ebuild package only, so that people who want to include -fPIC in their CCFLAGS
for prelinking can do so and do an emerge system with minimal disruption.

I've been fixing these sorts of things as of late,so I'll take care of this in

the 5.3-r1 version doesn't suffer from this, incidentally.
