Comment 3 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-18 17:09:31 UTC
hey daniel. i'm hitting this on stable x86.

the cause is blitz-0.8 not supporting the fortran name change (g77->gfortran) that occurred with GCC 4. blitz-0.9 seems to have been fixed to work with this. we're going to be marking GCC 4.1 stable for 2006.1 on amd64, ppc, and x86. would it be possible to stabilize 0.9? there is one minimal bug open against it, #88042, but otherwise looks good.

thanks ;d
Comment 4 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-27 19:00:01 UTC
Any progress on this? We need this ASAP for bug #140707. If no response is made before Sept 1st we'll be taking it upon ourselves to CC archs and get this bug resolved.

thanks :)

Arches, please stabilize dev-libs/blitz-0.9. It's been in the tree since Oct 2005 and has one minor open bug #88042 for migrating the tetex dependency to a USE flag.

Comment 7 Wormo (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-02 14:31:39 UTC
stable on ppc
Comment 8 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-03 22:47:14 UTC
1) emerges fine
2) passes collision test
3) passes test suite
