Description ta2002 2006-06-13 22:50:35 UTC
I could have this completely wrong (which has happened mary times before).

The ebuild for media-video/transcode-1.0.2-r2 shows media-libs/libexif as a required dependency via the RDEPEND variable.

I can find nothing either in the documentation or the source code to indicate this.

If transcode does in fact not need this package (and I don't even see how it could even use it), then I request the removal of this dependency from the ebuild.

Well, it's been added b/c someone said it's needed (Bug 43907). It doesn't link against it at all here, I've checked all the binaries.
