This is a new package, containing four utilities to work with PNGs (pnginfo, pngcp, pngchunkdesc and pngchunks), modeled on the utilities from libtiff. They're written by Michael Still and released under GPL-2, and available from his website http://www.stillhq.com/pngtools/ .

It depends on pnglib; I've set it to depend on >=libpng-1.2.8-r1, which is what I have here, but the programs are so simple I think they'll work with any libpng.

Suggested name and category is media-gfx/pngtools.

I'm not quite sure what to do about the documentation. There's a README, an INSTALL and a tiny something in the man/docbook directory, but they don't really contain much. The tgz also contains a few sample PNGs; I don't think they need to be installed on the user's computer.
