emerging sys-devel/gcc-4.0.2-r3 fails during gcc-4.0.2-cross-compile.patch.
this is a fresh amd64 gentoo installation in a chrooted environment following exactly the guidelines of "http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_GCC_4.0_Testing_Tips" for installing gcc-4.0.2.
