Description Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-10 05:37:23 UTC
I'd like to request stabilization of qt-3.3.6-r1. 3.3.6 has been in portage since Mar 17, and -r1 readds some patches that were present in previous versions but got dropped in the initial revbump to make sure they were still needed.

adding all arches
Comment 2 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-10 07:45:56 UTC
I'll note that it builds and seems good for sparc, bug I don't use KDE so I am not going to mark it stable.
Comment 3 Jason Wever (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-10 18:43:51 UTC
Is there some reason this ebuild gets to bypass the "30 days in the tree before being marked stable" policy?
Comment 4 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-11 02:46:53 UTC
stable on ppc64
Comment 5 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-11 04:04:37 UTC
It's your call. 3.3.6 has been stable 30 days. 3.3.6-r1 is simply me readding patches that were present in 3.3.4 and 3.3.5 but I initially dropped when doing 3.3.6 because I wasn't sure if they were still needed or not.

Looks like you haven't used repoman...
Comment 14 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-30 08:52:45 UTC
Strange... I used repoman... just forgot to commit on the qt-unixODBC ebuild... got it now... sorry about that
Comment 15 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-15 14:46:10 UTC
ia64 done.
Comment 16 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-06 05:06:23 UTC
anyone on the mips team want to take a crack at this?
Comment 17 Stuart Longland (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-24 17:00:52 UTC
Just having a look now, it seems there is no qt-3.3.6-r1. I have, however, done some testing of qt-3.3.6-r5. I have KDE 3.5.6 built against it, and running quite successfully on my Loongson machine (mipsel). I intend to test it on big-endian MIPS too -- although I don't forsee any endianness-related problems.

Which of the Qt releases would you prefer stabalised?
Comment 18 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-24 17:13:51 UTC
3.3.6-r4 would be great
