Currently stable (x86) madwifi-ng drivers don't work with my HP nc6000

wifi0 interface gets created, but it has no wireless extensions. ath0, however,
is not created, so I'm left without a wireless device.

Fortunately, upgrading to latest ~x86 madwifi-ng (and madwifi-ng-tools) solves
this, and I can connect to APs using wpa_supplicant-0.4.8, which is latest
stable x86.

I've marked the madwifi-ng{,-tools}-0.1531.20060427 ebuild stable on x86. Thank
you for reporting this.

I've just added an ath0 card to my machine, and am seeing the problem reported
in http://madwifi.org/ticket/583 -- which notes that the problem below is fixed
in r1538. :-(

# wlanconfig ath0 list scan
wlanconfig: len < sizeof(struct ieee80211req_scan_result)

A moving target -- quite fitting for wifi drivers. (*ducks fast*)
