Description Roy Marples (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-08 02:15:33 UTC
vsftpd-2.0.4-r1 has been in the tree for sometime now without issue. Please test and mark stable, thanks.
Comment 1 Enrico Morelli 2006-05-08 07:20:37 UTC
For arch x86 it is ok. The compilation ends fine.
I tried to enable anonymous and normal user configuration.
I'm able to connect and upload and download files.
A suggestion: display a warning to enable CONFIG_SECURITY_CAPABILITIES
in the kernel to avoid the message OOPS: vsf_sysutil_recv_peek from
vsftpd.

Shouldn't that test be in the libcap ebuild?
Comment 3 Enrico Morelli 2006-05-08 07:54:34 UTC
I checked in the sys-lib/libcap ebuild but I don't see
any test.

I'm saying that's where the test should be - all vsftpd does is make libcap calls.

IE it's not something that's vsftpd specific.
